In March of 2011 Polar Explorer Ben Saunders attempted to set the North Pole speed record attempt for a solo and unsupported hike. This video was the last in a series documenting his journey. To watch more of the videos, click here.

Though he was unsuccessful, he has not let that dissuade him from continuing to do what he is passionate about and in October of 2012 he plans to complete the first return journey to the South Pole, making it the longest unsupported polar journey in history.
